It’s all about
Story
Two Harkonnen sisters battle forces that threaten the future of humanity and found a legendary sect known as the Bene Gesserit. Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are science fiction. This episode uses material from the Great Dune School trilogy by Brian Herbert and Kevin J.
All three books intertwine the development of the Sisters, Mentats, Navigators, and Suk Doctors
Anderson. The intro to the original Dune tells how a Rossak sister evolved into a Bene Gesserit. The incident with Valya Harkonnen using her voice is from one called the Mentats of Dune.
You know what, I’m glad I did
Referenced in Crazy Cartoon Cast: The New Normal (2020) by AniMat. Okay, so honestly I’ve been putting off watching because every trailer seemed boring. Tonight, out of sheer desperation to see something new, I had a meltdown and decided to give it a try.
It’s really interesting
The acting is decent, the world is solid, and there are some very dynamic characters. The biggest flaw is the pacing so far. The first episode really drags to the end, but I won’t lie that the ending was good.
Only time will tell
My only concern is that it might have the same problem as the rings of power. A lot of the buildup is due to lack of delivery. I’ll update this once I finish the entire series.
